Scenes From the Week, Volume 56

August 8, 2016 by Emily Leave a Comment

Welcome to my Scenes From the Week series! In these posts, I share the highlights from my previous week ranging from the simple, everyday things to the more memorable events. One of the primary reasons that I blog is to keep a scrapbook that I can look back on in the future, and these posts help serve that purpose.SFTW_56Photos from the week, top left to bottom right:

(1) Texas Winery Day means a stop at Pieous for lunch! I can never get enough of this delicious pizza! And now we know firsthand that it is true Neopolitan-style. It’s exactly the same as what we ate in Naples, Italy. So good!

(2) On Saturday we stopped at a few wineries in the Hill Country with our good friends Kaelin and Andres. This picture was taken at Grape Creek which has a Tuscany theme. It looked just like a piece of Tuscany right in the middle of Texas!

(3) Sunday before church we decided to go look around an area of Austin we’d never been to before, Mueller. There was a beautiful park and…

(4) A super cute bakery! We got delicious baked goods and coffee for breakfast.

Not Pictured:

  • Pool time
  • Tex-Mex and BBQ dinners
  • Olympics Opening Ceremonies
  • New Orleans trip planning
  • Finally getting back into meal planning
  • An ice cream stop at a new place in Austin

On the Blog:

  • I continued sharing travel guides from our Europe backpacking trip by sharing about our one day in Nice (day one of our time in the French Riviera).
  • I joined in for the August Currently link-up.

Have a great week!

{Thanks for reading! Want to know a little more about me? I’m a CPA learning how to balance a career with frequent travel while planting roots at home in Austin, TX. When I’m not exploring my home city with my husband Daniel or cuddling with our chubby orange cat Banana, I’m probably planning, packing, traveling to, or daydreaming about our next adventure. After all, my travel mug collection is never complete. If you have wanderlust too, be sure to follow me on Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat (emilya89), or subscribe to my blog!}
